digitalSTROM follows the principle of dezentralized control. With digitalSTROM devices should be switched instead of sockets. For example, a floor lamps should always be equipped with a cord dimmer (GE-SDM200 or GE-SDS200 in black or white) instead of being plugged into a controlled socket.
If the lamp is equipped with digitalSTROM, it can be easily transported from one room to another, and it works immediately without further programming. All programmed light scenes are saved and kept and 'transported' together with the lamp. The same applies to all other devices. For switched devices we offer the digitalSTROM intermediate plug SW-SSL200, and also as version with switch GE-SDM200-JS, which can also migrate together with the device. Only in exceptional situations sockets should be switched directly. For this purpose we offer the SW-KL200, a black joker terminal block with relay output. This terminal block has a switching capacity of 1400W. This may cause problems if more than this maximum load is to be connected. In addition, the terminal block does not provide galvanic isolation from the mains and thus can not be used as a child safety device.
